About Juke:
Juke Joint Jimmy is currently on tour and has been an avid area professional in the entertainment business as a vocalist / musician since the late 60's. Juke has worked with many musician greats such as Dionne Warwick, Wilson "Wicked" Pickett, The Esquires, The Drifters to name a few during his extensive career and has headed his own star studded groups as well. Juke was also a studio musician for Scepter Wand Records in N.Y.C. and a graduate of "The College of Musical Knowledge." In the 70's he became the Promotion Manager for Warner, Elektra and Atlantic Records in N.Y. N.J. and California and became good friends with and was an avid promoter of The J. Geils Band. Juke was heavily inspired by The J. Geils Band and many great Blues artists such as John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters BB King and Sonny Boy Williamson. Over many years, his Bands always performed their material, "it was a must." Juke still performs and tours with many local and Boston artists currently as well, such as N.J.'s Rockin Blues Band The Elevators, The Dan Lawson Band and has re-united with Danny Klein one of the "original founding members" and bass player known as the "Ambassador Of Funk" of The J. Geils Band. Juke performs "special guest appearences" with Danny Klein's FullHouse Band which is comprised of only "Boston's Top" extraordinary musicians and friends of Juke's as well. His friendship with Danny and the entire Geils crew has been a long lasting one spanning over 38 yrs. and will continue for many years to come. Juke has also recently become a DJ for internet radio station WWW.KRUSHRADIO.COM and you can hear his Show "Juke's Houseparty" on Tuesday nights begining at 8:00 p.m. (est) to hear the very best of The J. Geils Band, D.K.'s FullHouse, Stonecrazy and also includes Classic Rock and Blues. Juke will be appearing at Manny's with The Elevators Friday June 13th and with The Dan Lawson Band Saturday August 23rd performing classic J. Geils Band hits. For Juke, The J. Geils Band and D.K.'s FullHouse, their music will live on forever and as Juke puts it "If it's in ya, it's got to come out, I'm not ready to hang up my Rock n' Roll shoes just yet."
